CES Chairperson Dr Jack Golden has stepped down from his role after 9 years of sterling service. Jack confirmed his departure at the AGM on Monday 30th March.
Jack took up the baton as chair from Dan Flinter, who sadly passed away on 22nd March. You can read a tribute to Dan here.
Tom Malone was elected as CES Chairperson at the AGM, having previously served as a Board member and Chair of the CES Audit Committee. You can read more about Tom here.
Jack’s contribution to CES has been invaluable, steering the organisation smoothly through a number of significant changes, including changes in CEO, saying farewell to Nuala Doherty and recruiting current CEO Dr Inez Bailey.
He also saw CES through the transition from the end of Atlantic Philanthropy funding which helped establish and grow the organisation, into its current self-financing model, building foundations for future growth.
Jack is a Chartered Engineer by background and has extensive interest and experience in the field of leadership. He was awarded a Ph.D. in International Business Leadership at the Dublin Institute ofTechnology in 2012.
Jack’s experience includes a range of senior roles in manufacturing industries in Ireland and internationally. He was President of the European Chamber of Commerce in Ireland and a Council Member of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce. He was also trustee of the Eisenhower Foundation. He is a Fellow of The Irish Academy of Engineering and Engineers Ireland.
