Mary is qualified as a researcher and a social worker. She has worked with children and families in health and social care settings, and in disability services. Mary has also worked in research and practice in access and inclusion in education, as a senior researcher in children and young people’s participation in decision-making, as a research consultant, and as a HSE researcher.
Mary joined CES with an understanding of the challenges to organisations and practitioners in providing meaningful and effective services to individuals, families, and communities and believes deeply that evidence-informed, reflective, practice and policy development can help address those challenges.
Mary holds a Master of Social Work from University College Cork, an MA Sociology (Applied Social Research) from the University of Limerick, and a Higher Diploma in Data Science & Analytics from Maynooth University.
