This short paper, produced by the Office for the Chief Social Policy Adviser in the Scottish government, describes the features of the Scottish Approach to government as it applies to two different policy areas. Characteristics of the Scottish Approach to services and policy include asset based working, co-production and improvement methodologies. The two examples which feature in this research include ‘Building Safer Communities’ and the Mental Health Strategy.
