Learning from experience to inform the future

Children and Young People’s Services Committees (CYPSC) are a key structure identified by Government to plan and co-ordinate services for children and young people in Ireland. Four committees, that bring together the main statutory, community and voluntary providers of services to children and young people, were established initially in 2007 on a pilot basis to explore the potential for interagency working.

This report by CES presents the findings from the early implementation of Children and Young Peoples Services Committees in these pilot areas and informed the development of Committees in other counties across Ireland. Twenty two Children and Young Peoples Services Committees have now been established across Ireland.
