Ruth Whittle

Ruth holds an LLB in Law & European Studies from the University of Limerick and an LLM in International Human Rights Law from the National University of Ireland Galway. For her university work placement, she worked for an Irish MEP at the European Parliament in Brussels, with a focus on human rights and education, and she has interned at two NGOs specialising in migration and equality issues, the European Roma Information Office in Brussels and the Irish Refugee Council. Ruth currently volunteers part-time as a researcher, providing country-of-origin qualitative research for asylum cases at the pan-European network Asylos, and as a social media administrator at an Irish online anti-racism network. Her interests include the promotion and protection of human rights at an Irish and EU level and the inclusion and integration of ethnic minorities in Irish society.
