Martin’s area of work within CES is to co-ordinate the day-to-day delivery of the national evaluation of the Area Based Childhood (ABC) Programme; his responsibilities include project implementation support, implementation of the evaluation design, data management and analysis and report writing. 

Prior to joining CES Martin worked as an analyst and project manager for Mons City Council, Belgium. He was a guest lecturer and researcher in Criminology in Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, and has also delivered training for a number of organisations. He has experience in designing, implementing and managing research and evaluation programmes, and in promoting evidence-based action and knowledge transfer within practice environments. Martin’s research interests include mixed-methods analysis, research methods for evaluating the implementation and impact of services, and embedding evaluation processes in practice.
