Emily Murphy

Emily has a BA in International Studies from RMIT University Melbourne, where she also interned as a Research Assistant for the RMIT Centre for Global Studies. She recently completed an MA in Gender, Globalisation and Rights at the National University of Ireland, Galway. As part of the MA, Emily wrote a dissertation on gender and activism in new media. Before moving to Ireland, Emily worked with the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME), coordinating mentoring and tutoring programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Emily is interested in the role of human rights in social policy, as well as representations of gender in communications, and advocacy.
